Lexington Town Council approved the final document of the Vision Plan – “VisionLexington” on May 7, 2012 during the regular session Council meeting. We will be “Focusing on the Future” and showcasing all our great Town has to offer and it is our mission to continue to provide the best quality of life to our residents, businesses and guests.

Just a few short weeks after putting the stamp of approval on “VisionLexington”, the Town along with Lexington County Government, Lexington County Law Enforcement Officer’s Association, Lexington Beautification Foundation, Lexington Bar Association and Dennis Corporation opened the new Lexington Square located at the corner of E. Main St. and S. Lake Dr., the heart of downtown. The Square features landscaping, a fountain and a Lexington County Law Enforcement Monument.

The Town is also underway with implementing additional projects such as the new expanded indoor Farmers Market, I-20/Sunset Blvd. Beautification Interchange, construction of Fourteen Mile Creek Trail and expanding our annual Christmas Festivities.

There is also a dedicated page to current projects which will include descriptions and photos, to keep you up to date. As we move forward with future projects and phases, we will continue to keep you abreast through Lexington Anchor.

As you can see, the Town is working hard to enhance our quality of life through productive, worthy projects focusing on Downtown Revitalization, Economic/Community Development and Beautification/Corridor Enhancements. Our mission is to strategically position Lexington for the future and continue to make this the community you choose to live, work, play and learn and raise your family.
