Valentine’s Day Cinema ‘Dinner and a Movie’ Giveaway Returns to Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College with The African Queen, Feb. 14, 2015

Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College is giving away dinner and tickets to its third annual Valentine’s Day Cinema, featuring The African Queen, for an evening of romance on February 14, 2015 at 7:00 p.m.

Valentine’s Day Cinema, a beloved annual tradition, kicks off with a champagne and dessert reception in the lobby of Harbison Theatre at 7:00 p.m. and is followed by a screening of classic black-and-white romance: The African Queen, starring Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn, at 8:00 p.m.

“The event itself is quite charming,” says Katie Fox, Executive Director at Harbison Theatre. “I think one of the best aspects of being in love is experiencing surprises and new things together.”

The public can enter to win one of four ‘dinner and a movie’ packages, each including a $50 gift certificate from Homegrown Hospitality Group, good for Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse, Liberty Taproom, Liberty on the Lake or Pearlz Oyster Bar, and a pair of tickets to Harbison Theatre’s dessert reception and showing of The African Queen.

Register to win at http://www.harbisontheatre.org until Sunday, February 8 at 11:55 p.m. Four winners will be announced on Monday, February 9.

A romantic journey back in time, The African Queen brings together two of the hottest icons of the silver screen, Bogey and Kate, for World War 1 action, classic scores and plenty of chemistry.

Fox says The African Queen was an audience choice. “Plenty of people are making our Valentine’s Day Cinema a tradition, and we took their suggestions for this year’s film. The African Queen topped the list!”
