Give your kids a presidential summer by signing them up for Historic Columbia’s Presidential Summer Camp on June 23-27 or July 7-11.
Campers will enjoy crafts, games and activities as they travel through time to discover Columbia’s presidential history. From George Washington’s visit in 1791 to modern presidents and candidates, campers will connect South Carolina’s capital city to the national capital and get to know our commanders-in-chief by exploring the Woodrow Wilson Family Home and discovering presidential personalities and interests, such as Woodrow Wilson’s love of baseball and role-playing as a British admiral.
“We look forward to teaching our campers about history in fun and exciting ways,” said James Quint, Historic Columbia’s education coordinator. “We really want to make learning about Columbia something they will enjoy.”
HC’s Presidential Summer Camp is offered in two sessions, June 23-27 or July 7-11. Both sessions run from 9 am to 4 pm daily, and the cost is $160 for HC members and $200 for non-members. This price includes snacks, but participants will need to bring a lunch. Registration is required. Reserve your child’s spot by calling 803.252.1770 ext. 36 or emailing email@example.com. The summer camp registration form is also available at historiccolumbia.org.
