Tia Williams and Lee Pitcovich Reminisce about Midlands Anchor’s Beginnings

Today, June 6th, Midlands Anchor celebrates four years since the first edition was released. Many remember the early days in Lexington, when a small but collaborative unit of folks emerged to promote the Town of Lexington Vision Plan and other Lexington happenings by way of Blogspot. Almost exactly three years later the publication expanded to “Midlands Anchor”, an earnest effort to begin chipping away at a long term goal of promoting regional development. Though, the nostalgia of those exciting and unpredictable first months in Lexington will remain strong for years to come.

Midlands Anchor CEO Tia Williams chats with Lexington Young Professional founder and fellow Anchor brainstormer Lee Pitcovich about the birth of the publication in this 20 minute segment. More on Williams’ journey to full time dedication to the Anchor here.
