With generous spirits and creative face-painting skills, students at Lexington Elementary recently raised money for homeless individuals in their community.

LES’s Student Council organized a fundraiser for Samaritan’s Well, a nonprofit organization that serves women and children. The students chose the nonprofit because it serves families in the LES attendance area.

In total, Student Council members collected $300 for Samaritan’s Well by offering face painting during lunch and before school.

Donations from LES will assist Samaritan’s Well with its mission of providing stable shelter and life skills training to women and their children as they transition from being homeless to self-sufficiency.
