State Chamber Applauds House Passage of H.3516

COLUMBIA, S.C.SC Chamber of Commerce CEO Ted Pitts released the following statement applauding House approval of H.3516, a comprehensive infrastructure funding bill. The South Carolina Chamber has listed H.3516 as a Key Vote on its 2017 Legislative Scorecard. The bill will get final approval by the House on Thursday and move to the Senate:

“The South Carolina business community appreciates the leadership the House of Representatives has shown on this issue.  The House understands the impact the deplorable condition of our roads has on our citizens, economic development efforts and ultimately jobs.  This proposal represents the long-term solution the business community has been calling for by providing additional reform at SCDOT and investment in our state’s infrastructure,” said Ted Pitts, CEO of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce.

“We commend the leadership of the 97 House members that supported this solution, now the Senate needs to get to work and finish the job on the roads.”
