31st SC Business Week Launches in July to Help Students Advance

Just $500 Sends a Student to SC Business Week

How can you make a difference in a child’s life this summer? The South Carolina Chamber is seeking businesses interested in sponsoring a student (or students) to attend the prestigious South Carolina Business Week, July 13-18, 2014. Each year, Business Week offers bright, young adults in your hometown the unique opportunity to interact with business leaders along with their peers to learn more about the ins and outs of a successful career.

During the week, teams of students develop mock companies, led by company advisors loaned from some of South Carolina’s most successful businesses. Students attend workshops to learn about all aspects of business and test their newly acquired knowledge in a business simulation designed to achieve a real company feel with challenging, real-world situations. Along with an emphasis on teamwork and leadership skills, Business Week includes programs on the stock market, ethics in business, leadership profiling, entrepreneurship and the significance of diversity in business.
