Restaurant, 11 Authors Team up to Aid Adult Literacy Tutoring

Flight Deck restaurant’s owners and 11 authors raised money last weekend in Lexington for adult literacy.

Restaurant owners Angela and Ted Stambolitis were hosts to the Authors for Literacy book signing Saturday.

The 11 authors personally signed their books for readers who wanted to give them as memorable gifts for loved ones.

Proceeds went to the Greater Columbia Literacy Council’s Turning Pages adult literacy tutoring program.

The authors were Aida Rogers, Erin Courtney, Pat McNeely, Rachel Haynie, Jerry Bellune, Ronni Riccasola, Tom Poland, George Long, McKendree Long, Anthony Herda and Larry Timbs.

A spring book signing is being planned.
