Real Southern Scavenger Hunt set for Saturday in Columbia

Experience Columbia SC is taking part in the U.S. Travel Association’s 33rd annual National Travel and Tourism Week from May 7 – 13. The annual event champions the important role travel and tourism play in local communities and economies.

You can join in the fun by participating in The Real Southern Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, May 13th from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. A series of clues and tasks will lead teams to various locations around downtown Columbia. It’s free to participate and everyone who successfully completes the hunt, posting photos or videos at each stop on social media along the way, will be entered into a drawing to win a various prize packages.

Prizes include a gift cards to Cantina 76 and Sweet Cream Co., admission to the South Carolina State Museum, tickets to a Columbia Fireflies game, t-shirts and more! For event details, please visit https://www.facebook.com/events/1329435410485569/.

This year’s theme celebrates the Faces of Travel – the movers, the shakers, the tourism-makers who keep this industry warm, welcoming and thriving. We’ll be highlighting Columbia’s Faces of Travel through a special guest blog series, as well as a social media photo contest, both of which will be promoted through our social media channels.
