Currently on its fourth year of operation, Pawmetto Lifeline’s annual Fur Friends Summer Camp is already in full swing this summer.
Last week during the camp, which is geared towards children ages 5-7, the children not only petted and played with many dogs and cats, but also learned about pet health and ownership. Throughout the weeklong camp, the children learned why microchipping pets is important, the basics of dog and cat body language, and how to properly ask a pet owner to pet their dog. They also learned about therapy dogs and service dogs.
For many campers, it was actually their second year at Fur Friends Summer Camp.
