Pancakes with Police Fundraiser Set for Tuesday Evening

The Lexington Police Department and Heroes in Blue will co-host a “Pancakes With Police” pancake supper Tuesday evening at Eggs Up Grill at 205 Columbia Ave. in Lexington.

This event will benefit the Heroes In Blue organization along with the Lexington Police Department’s Adopt-A- Cop fund which provides support for many of the community events and programs that the department is involved in.

“Partnerships with local organizations and businesses continue to bring success to many of the things that the Lexington Police Department is able to do within the Town of Lexington community,” said Chief Terrence Green. “The continued support given to the Adopt-A- Cop fund allows the purchase of unexpected and essential items that our officers need to serve our ever-growing community more fully.”

“The mission of Heroes In Blue is to share the stories of the caring and courageous acts that Law Enforcement Officers do every day to keep our communities safe,” said Heroes in Blue Founder Kassy Alia. “Too often, these stories go untold. Our mission is to highlight the voices of the majority of us who love and appreciate our heroes and to further strengthen police and community relationships. Pancakes with Police is a fantastic opportunity to join together in fellowship and fun and to demonstrate our unity as one strong, loving community.”

The pancake supper will begin at 5 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. The minimum donation is $10 per person and dinner will include all you can eat pancakes and a drink of your choice. Take out will be available during this event.

Along with the pancake supper, the Lexington Police Department will have several vehicles at the event including the Emergency Services Team MRAP for demonstration. There will also be games and coloring pages for children to enjoy.
