Orchestra students earn noteworthy Tri-DAC invite

Two Pelion Middle orchestra students played to perfection during auditions for the Tri-District Arts Consortium summer program.

Seventh-Grader McKenzie L. Sightler received acceptance into the program as a violinist. Only a handful of orchestra students from Lexington District One and the surrounding districts receive invitations to participate in this 3-week immersion experience.

Tri-DAC selected Sixth-Grader Trinity M. Bruner as an alternate, making her the first sixth-grader from PMS orchestras to be accepted. Also a violinist, she will be first choice to attend this summer if another student declines the invitation.

Both of these students worked incredibly hard on their audition materials and represented PMS’s orchestra program well.
