The Midlands Anchor team is excited to announce the official launch of its Community Advisory Board, effective March 1st, 2017. This team of leaders and influencers span business, cultural, historic, nonprofit and educational sectors across Richland and Lexington County. Collectively, the board has been hand picked to represent the talent, creativity, intellect and kindness that make up our diverse and compassionate community. The purpose of the board is to provide monthly input and advisement on community matters in which these members have abundant expertise, as well as to participate in communication opportunities that influence and educate engaged Midlands citizens.
Chairing the board is USC College of Hospitality, Retail and Sports Management’s Communication Manager, Allen Wallace, who brings over twenty years of journalism experience and a South Carolina Broadcasters Association Award of Merit. Board responsibilities will include participation in developing editorials, audio interviews, white papers, and representing their industry or sector in routine “Midlands Matters” panels. These members are graciously volunteering three years to Midlands Anchor’s mission tell unique and powerful community stories with journalistic integrity and competitiveness.
