The thorough research conducted during the campaign will provide valuable insights into the cultural and economic behaviors of our citizens and visitors. We hope this information will be a practical boon for unifying and mobilizing our community base.

“The Columbia region has grown and transformed significantly in the past decade, as have the consumer’s travel patterns and behaviors. With evidence of change everywhere, we needed to take an in-depth look at our organization, our brand and our consumer base. Our previous brand (Columbia, SC: The New Southern Hot Spot) and tagline (Famously Hot) were almost nine years old and much has changed in that time. During the past year, we worked with two well-respected firms within our industry to conduct an extensive research analysis and brand refresh, building upon the brand equity of Columbia SC: The New Southern Hot Spot. On March 15, our brand evolved to better reflect the Columbia, SC region of today and tomorrow. We look forward to working with Midlands Anchor in the coming months to share what we’ve been working on and talk about our next steps.”
