Columbia-based executive coaching and consulting firm Sagacious Partners has named Meghan Hickman Chief Operating Officer and Partner.
“Meghan is a very talented individual and is gifted in establishing and growing relationships, making her an irreplaceable part of this company,” says Sagacious Partners founder, CEO and Managing Partner, Neil McLean. “The decision to make her COO and Partner was an easy one. She is an outstanding leader and will continue to do great things for Sagacious Partners, our community and our clients.”
In her role with the company, Hickman oversees project management work helping communities and organizations grow. Through her role at Sagacious Partners, Hickman serves as Executive Director of EngenuitySC, a Midlands nonprofit focused on enhancing the region’s competitiveness and prosperity.
“I feel like I have the greatest job around,” says Hickman. “I get to invest energy in growing and running an innovative and entrepreneurial company at Sagacious Partners, and I get to apply my strengths to the incredible mission and purpose-driven work of EngenuitySC. It is truly the best of both worlds.”
Sagacious Partners has deep expertise in project management, economic development, and executive coaching. Hickman oversees the project management and economic development practice, while McLean drives the executive coaching practice with Vistage peer advisory and Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) services.
Hickman joined Sagacious Partners in 2012 with over seven years of experience in community relations and public affairs management in both South Carolina and Washington, DC. Prior to returning to Columbia, Meghan spent nearly six years working for a United States Senator. Following that, she entered the private sector with Stratacomm and managed national public relations campaigns for clients ranging from federal government agencies to large coalitions and associations.
Hickman currently serves as a Board Member of the Girl Scouts of South Carolina-Mountains to Midlands chapter and the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce; serves as a Richland School District Two R2i2 Advisory Board Member and Superintendent’s Business Advisory Council Member; and participates in various other volunteering and philanthropic activities in the region.
