Make Ya-Ya Great Again! 02.25.17

The Krewe de Columbi-Ya-Ya is proud to announce the 7th Annual Mardi Gras Columbia Parade &Music Festival at City Roots, Saturday, February 25, 2017, benefitting the ​Congaree Riverkeeper!

Events and details are as follows:

● 5K Race sponsored by River Rat Brewery, registration at 7 AM at City Roots, race begins 8 AM

● Parade will roll at 11 AM from City Roots, through Rosewood neighborhood and past the Publix supermarket

● Parade​ will feature:

o Local marching bands

o Members of the Krewe de Columbi-Ya-Ya, in addition to several other Krewes and floats

o The royal court of King Kristian Niemi and Queen Mia McLeod

● Anyone and everyone is invited to participate in the parade…just bring your costume and throws!

The parade will end at City Roots around noon, at which time the festival is open to the public. Admission is FREE because Mardi Gras Columbia is for everyone! Abita Brewing and River Rat Brewery will be available to quench your thirst, and several food vendors of various kinds will supply fare for just about any taste.

Mardi Gras Columbia will feature 4 stages and a lineup of several regional and local artists including:

The Krewe de Columbi-Ya-Ya has raised and given away over $100,000 since the first Mardi Gras Columbia in 2011, without public monies of any sort, including Hospitality Taxes, grants, or gifts. Proceeds from our events go directly to local organizations, and we rely on the generosity of the Midlands Community.
