Lexington police filling emergency vehicle with Toys for Tots

The annual Toys for Tots “Fill the MRAP” campaign will begin on the afternoon of Monday, November 20, 2017 and will continue over the next three weeks with donation events scheduled at Kmart, Target, Walmart and Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt.

As in years past, the objective for this year’s Toys for Tots campaign will be to fill the Lexington Police Department Emergency Services Team (E.S.T.) MRAP vehicle with toy donations.  Unless needed elsewhere, the E.S.T. MRAP vehicle will be at each donation event.  

The Toys for Tots “Fill the MRAP” schedule includes events on the following days and times:

  • Wednesday, November 22, 2017 Kmart 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Monday, November 27, 2017 Walmart 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Friday, December 1, 2017 Walmart 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, December 2, 2017 Menchie’s 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Monday, December 4, 2017 Kmart 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, December 5, 2017 Kmart 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, December 6, 2017 Kmart 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, December 7, 2017 Target 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Friday, December 8, 2017 Target 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, December 9, 2017 Walmart 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Monday, December 11, 2017 Walmart 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Chief Terrence Green said, “Each Christmas season our officers look forward to the generosity of the Town of the Lexington community and Toys for Tots is a great way to provide a gift to a child who may not have a present under the tree otherwise. Thank you in advance for supporting this year’s campaign.”

Toys for Tots donations will be accepted during business hours through Monday, December11, 2017 at the Lexington Police Department which is located at 111 Maiden Lane in Lexington.
