The Lexington County Museum will host its 18th Annual Christmas Open House on December 14, 2014 from 1 pm to 4 pm.
This event will allow visitors to experience Christmas traditions of the past as most of the 30 historic structures on the 6.5 acre Museum complex will be open and will feature period 19th century Christmas decorations. The event is free to the public. Light refreshments, including hot apple cider and gingerbread, will be served.
This event will also feature live music. The Open House is a great time for county residents to learn more about the museum, Christmas traditions of the past, and the county’s history.

Founded in 1970, the Lexington County Museum focuses on Lexington County’s history from the colonial period to the Civil War. It interprets everyday life in the county through historic structures and locally-made artifacts, including furniture, textiles, weapons, and pottery.
