Is the Force with You? Find out May 4 at Richland Library

Travel to a galaxy far, far away with Richland Library. We’re inviting all Star Wars fans – children, teens and adults – to celebrate May the 4th Be with You with us.

Our staff have put together their own trilogy, of sorts, for this fan-favored holiday. Please join us for the following, free programs:

A Star Wars Celebration
10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Richland Library St. Andrews (2916 Broad River Rd.)
Drop by to make a Star Wars-themed craft, hang out with other Star Wars fans and watch an episode or two of The Clone Wars.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi
12 – 2:30 p.m.
Richland Library Main (1431 Assembly St.)
It’s a film screening of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Rey develops her newly-discovered abilities with the guidance of Luke Skywalker, who is unsettled by the strength of her powers. Meanwhile, the Resistance prepares for battle with the First Order. PG-13, 2:32 min.

Star Wars Light Saber Demonstration
4 – 5 p.m.
Richland Library Main (1431 Assembly St.)
Partake in a light saber demonstration for all ages (Parents, feel free to participate). Light sabers will NOT be provided, so please bring your own. (Toy sabers are fine for this event).
