Harvest Hope Food Bank Welcomes New Director of Donor Relations

Harvest Hope Food Bank has announced that Laura Reid will be joining their organization as the Director of Donor Relations. Reid has an extensive background in non-profit work including stints at the National Kidney Foundation, the SC Pharmacy Association, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Reid will take charge of the Harvest Hope Donor Relations Department which includes half a dozen employees spread across Harvest Hope’s three main branches. With Harvest Hope starting a capital campaign and looking to meet Feeding America’s yearly goal of a 10% increase in meals provided, Reid’s organizational and donor relations abilities will be critical to the organization.

“I’m thrilled to join an organization with such a wonderful mission” said Reid. “I have a passion for making a positive impact on my community and Harvest Hope and I are a great fit for each other.”

Denise Holland, CEO of Harvest Hope was equally excited about Reid coming on board, “We are just ecstatic to have such a wonderful, energetic, presence join us. We’re very happy to have someone of Laura’s talents on our team.”

Laura Reid graduated Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications. She has won many awards including the SC Society of Association Executives Best Event Marketing and being accepted into the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Leadership Enrichment and Development (LEAD) program. Reid is involved in multiple leadership roles with local civic organizations including the Junior League of Columbia and the Chi Omega sorority.
