GILBERT — A Gilbert Middle School eighth-grader earned a return trip to a prestigious arts program this summer.

Jeffrey H. McCann will spend his second summer at the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities Summer Dance Program. Participants are selected through an audition and interview process.

A performer for nine years, McCann enjoys all genres of dance. During a period of five weeks, he will receive training in both traditional and 21st-century concert dance.
