Forts Pond Elementary cafeteria earns perfect score

At a Pelion school, both students and staff receive A’s for hard work.

Food service and nutrition staff at Forts Pond Elementary recently earned a score of 100 percent from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control for the school’s cafeteria. The group of dedicated workers demonstrated continued excellence with their ninth consecutive A inspection rating.

FPES teachers say the food service and nutrition staff are always caring and helpful. This year’s staff, led by Food Service and Nutrition Manager Janet L. Callahan, includes Food Service and Nutrition Operator Janet D. Cuttino, Food Service and Nutrition Cashier Marlene S. McLeod, Food Service and Nutrition Operator Sara B. Rushton, Food Service and Nutrition Operator Catherine W. Slice and Food Service and Nutrition Operator Patricia S. Umbarger.
