The City of Columbia CDBG Disaster Recovery team will be hosting a series of community outreach sessions throughout the month of July and August. The purpose of these sessions is to assist property owners in taking the steps towards the restoration and renovation of homes that were affected by the October 2015 Flood. Many of the topics that will be discussed include:

  • Minor Repair
  • CHAP
  • Small Rental Repair
  • Elevation
  • Buyout

The first two sessions will take place on Monday, July 10, 2017, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Drew Wellness Center, 2101 Walker Solomon Way and again at the Midlands Technical College Beltline Campus, 3165 Beltline Blvd. from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Those who wish to attend must be eligible to do so after meeting the necessary preliminary criteria for this event.

Steps to applying are as follows:

  • Attend a Disaster Recover Information session.
  • Schedule an appointment with a Disaster Recovery Case Manager.
  • Provide requested documentation.
  • Sign the Eligibility Release form.
