History will come to life through interactive activities and exploration of the gardens, grounds and houses of Historic Columbia. Children ages 8 to 12 are invited to take an adventure in time as we explore what it was like to live in the past! Each day, kids will have a mission to explore a different aspect of history including food, archaeology, music, art, storytelling and even silent film through games, crafts and play.
“We look forward to exploring history with our campers in fun and enjoyable ways,” said Celia Galens, Historic Columbia’s engagement coordinator. “We really want it to be an exciting experience in which they’ll also be able to learn about Columbia.”
HC’s Mission: History summer camp is offered in two sessions, June 22-26 or July 13-17. Both sessions run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, and the cost is $160 for HC members and $200 for non-members. Registration is required. Learn more and reserve your spot at historiccolumbia.org or by calling 803.252.1770 ext. 26 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
