A popular Charleston restaurant will soon be opening its first Columbia location. East Bay Deli, which, according to its website, is a New York-style deli with a distinctive southern flair, will be moving into 1426 Main Street, sharing the building with The Hub.
“We are thrilled to finally be coming to the Columbia area,” said Jennifer Bergens, director of human resources for East Bay Deli. Mike Edwards of Real estate services firm Newmark Grubb Wilson Kibler worked with the restaurant on the move. “We have been working with Mike for quite a while to find the perfect spot for our first location and to see this come together is really exciting.”
East Bay Deli first opened in 2001 in Charleston, and currently has five locations in the Charleston area along with one in Florence and one in North Myrtle Beach. It has been voted Charleston’s best deli for 13 consecutive years.
The Columbia location will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, and will serve beer and wine. Online ordering, delivery and catering will also be available. No date has been set for the Columbia opening.
