Dozens of Local Businesses to Engage in Young Adult Career Fair

Columbia, SC– Landing a job can be stressful, especially if it’s your first one. Richland Library is offering an opportunity for budding job seekers from 2 – 5 p.m., Saturday May 20 at its Main location (1431 Assembly Street) during the You’re Hired! Young Adult Career Fair.

The free event is geared toward 16 to 24-year-olds, but anyone looking for employment is welcome to attend. Be sure to have multiple copies of your resume handy and dress professionally in order to find your next job, training or service opportunity.

There are close to two dozen organizations participating that can break the ice when it comes to interviewing and provide hints to help you secure that position, including:

The National Association of Colleges and Employers has announced companies plan to hire nearly six percent more young workers this year than in 2016.
