Chief Terrence Green is pleased to announce that Dianne Craps was chosen as the recipient of the ”Art Rish – Employee of the Year” Award” for 2016.
Dianne Craps has worked with the Town of Lexington since August of 1997 where she began her career in the Finance Department. She began working as the Administrative Assistant to Chief Mike Roth in July of 2000 and continued in that position working with three Chiefs of Police at the Lexington Police Department while seeing the department grow from less than twenty officers to over fifty officers in the past sixteen years.
Chief Terrence Green says “There are many ways to measure the success of a career and Mrs. Dianne should be proud of her service to the Lexington Police Department as she has seen it grow and change in many positive ways over the years. She has been invaluable to me while also acting as den mother to our officers. There is no doubt that the Lexington Police Department was and will continue to be her second family.”
This award is a final highlight to a nearly twenty year long career with the Town of Lexington as Dianne Craps retired on December 16th, 2016. She and her husband, Jerry Craps, plan to travel and enjoy time with their family.
Dianne Craps was presented with this award at the annual Lexington Police Department awards ceremony on December 9th, 2016.
