Deckle Edge Literary Festival participants are expected to build up an appetite for more than literature by Saturday night, so the DE planning committee brought in some of the best in BBQ to meet their needs – Scott Hall.
Scott Hall’s Bone-In Barbeque truck was named by Smithsonian magazine as one of the top 20 trucks in the nation and he’s bringing the real deal to the Back Lot on Saturday night for a no–holds barred bbq feast, complete with the kind of exquisite side dishes only Hall can provide.
There will be pulled pork with three sauces, mac and cheese (naturally), goat cheese and dill potato salad, deviled collards, Scott Hall’s wildly famous pickled okra, blue cheese focaccia, a roasted banana upside down cake and some cayenne and ginger lemonade.
Making it all even more enticing will be Andrew Stinson, owner and creator at WAS Design Works.
Beer and wine will be provided by both The Whig and Tim Gardner’s new wine bar on Main Street, Lula Drake.
The night’s entertainment includes a concert featuring David Adedokun as well as Jade Janay Blocker.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door, and include a plate of BBQ and a drink. They can be purchased from BPT in advance at – http://deckleedgebbq.bpt.me/
