Columbia City Ballet announces auditions for ‘Dracula’ and ‘The Nutcracker’

Columbia City Ballet will host auditions for their 2017 performances of  Dracula and The Nutcracker at the Columbia Conservatory of Dance on 1545 Main Street. Details, including dates and times, are listed below.

There is a $20 audition fee for each addition.

Columbia City Ballet’s audition dress code consists of black leotard, pink tights, hair in slick bun, lip and cheek color with light eye shadow for female dancers, and a white leotard or plain white tee shirt, black tights and black shoes or black tights with white socks and white shoes for male dancers. Bring pointe shoes for those on pointe over 2 years.

Dracula:
1 to 2 pm. Sept. 23 – Male and female dancers, ages 7-10
2 to 3 p.m. Sept. 23 – Male and female dancers, 11 and up.

Performance dates are Oct. 27 and Oct. 28.

The Nutcracker:
1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 17 – Male and female dancers, ages 4 to 6.
3 to 5 p.m. Sept. 17 – Male and female dancers, ages 7 to 10.
5:30 to 6 p.m. Sept. 17 – Male and female dancers, 11 and up.

Performance dates are Dec. 9, Dec. 10, Dec. 16, and Dec. 17.  Rehearsals are Nov. 12, Nov. 19, Nov. 26 and Dec. 3.
