The City of Cayce is pleased to announce that Mallory Phillips submitted the winning design for the Cayce Centennial Celebration logo competition. More than 40 design logos were submitted to the City. Her design will serve as the official logo for the upcoming Cayce Centennial Celebration, September 5th – 7th.
Phillips, a Brookland-Cayce High School graduate and freelance graphic designer, submitted a logo that includes images of Palmetto trees, fireworks and imagery that depicts Cayce’s waterways. Phillips also designed the Cayce Beautification Foundation’s current website, as well as murals for buildings around the campus at the University of South Carolina.
“I am extremely excited to be the winner of the Centennial celebration and to give back to the city I was raised in,” states Phillips. “I’m proud to have my logo displayed in the City that inspired me to dream big and try my hand at being a part of the art world.”
The Cayce Centennial will be a weekend-long celebration honoring the City’s 100-year history. Events will be held throughout the weekend, including live music from Tokyo Joe, a tailgating party and family festival, free museum tours, uncovering the time capsule buried many years ago, and more!
“We can’t wait for the Centennial Celebration in September and are thrilled to have a Cayce native as the winner of our logo competition! We have so many talented residents in Cayce,” exclaimed Mayor Elise Partin.
