Richland Library will be taking walk-ins today to help households with taxes. The library is teaming with volunteers from the Cooperative Ministry’s Volunteering Income Tax Assistance (VITA) to offer people making $54,000 or less annually, free tax preparation.
The library is accepting walk-ins, on a first-come, first-serve basis (no appointment necessary) from 2-5 p.m. and encourage people to arrive early to their main location at 1431 Assembly Street. This is the second free tax preparation session, the last taking place on January 31.
Be sure to bring the following information:
- Social Security cards for yourself and everyone in your household
- All W2s, 1099s or other income
- Picture ID
- Bank account routing number
If you are interested and want to know more about what to bring you may reach out to the library’s social workers at 803-231-6383 or 803-231-6330. For any other question, the library has asked that you contact Emily Stoll at 803-587-3637 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
