An Evening to Remember Planned to Benefit Alzheimer’s Association

A night of dancing, food, cocktails and fun Thursday in Columbia will benefit those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and their families and caregivers.

Bankers Life insurance company will host An Evening to Remember starting at 6:30 pm at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Columbia Greystone.

The event will include a silent auction and live music along with lots of food and drinks. Funds raised at the event will help support the Alzheimer’s Association, South Carolina Chapter, which aims to eliminate the disease through the advancement of research, to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.

Organizers have set a goal of raising $20,000 through the event. Sixty percent of the funds raised will stay in the area, helping the Alzheimer’s Association provide services here in the Midlands. The remaining proceeds will help fund research to find a cure.

Items up for bid at the silent auction will include a week-long vacation in Colorado, a three night stay at a rental home on Lake Murray, and many more.

Still Hopes Episcopal Retirement Community and SC Baptist Ministries of Aging are sponsors for An Evening to Remember.” Tickets are $25. More information on the event is available here.
