FESTIVAL BACKGROUND

Over 30 years ago, two men sat down in a booth at Yesterday’s Restaurant in Five Points, looking out into the empty streets of the neighborhood on St. Patrick’s Day. Realizing that it should be a busy, bustling holiday, they thought of an idea to bring more people into Five Points’ many businesses.

The St. Patrick’s Day Parking Lot Party was born on that day, which began the tradition that carries on to this day in Five Points, and has since become one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day festivals in the southeast. St. Pat’s in Five Points now welcomes over 40,000 people annually.

2016 SPONSORS

St. Pat’s in Five Points wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of businesses across the Midlands: KW Beverage, Beverage South, Green’s Beverages, Wells Fargo, Checker Yellow, Southern Wine and Spirits, Whole Foods, Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina, TD Bank, Celebrations, T-Mobile, The Fountain Division of W.P.
