2017 Women of Influence: Jill Armbruster

Jill Armbruster, Director of Marketing for UCI Medical Affiliates, has been named to the list of 2017 Women of Influence by the Columbia Regional Business Report.

Each year, the Business Report honors a group of young women who are setting the pace in their professional careers as well as working to make the Midlands a better place. These 11 Women of Influence were nominated by Columbia area business professionals. The final selections were made by a panel of judges including last year’s honorees and Business Report staff.

“We are so excited to learn about the contributions young women are making, both in their professions and in the community,” said Licia Jackson, associate publisher of the Columbia Regional Business Report.

Among this year’s honorees are professionals in nonprofits, real estate, banking, state and local government, and the Columbia Fireflies. A profile of each honoree is included in the July 17 issue of the Business Report, and they will be honored at a reception.

Overseeing all marketing initiatives for five years now with UCI Medical Affiliates, Jill Armbruster brings creative energy and data-driven strategies to the organization and its goals. She leads a dynamic team of professionals responsible for advertising, brand management, PR and community outreach efforts for the UCI Medical Affiliates family of companies: 52 Doctors Care urgent care centers, 22 Progressive Physical Therapy locations, and Doctors Wellness Center.

“We are very proud of Jill. Since she began working at UCI a few years ago, she has been a spark plug of marketing ideas. With Jill’s marketing acumen, UCI’s brands are now utilizing just about every channel we know of,” says David Boucher, president and chief operating officer of UCI Medical Affiliates. “Jill’s leadership has helped UCI to expend our precious marketing dollars in venues where we now know we are earning a return on investment.”

Community involvement has been the foundation of Armbruster’s footprint in the midlands. Previously she has served on boards for the Contemporaries of the Columbia Museum of Art, the Columbia Design League, the Cultural Council of Richland and Lexington Counties, and the American Advertising Federation Midlands Chapter. Armbruster is also a current and founding board member of Salute from the Shore, a statewide non-profit organization that pays tribute to active and retired military personnel every July 4th. She is a graduate of Clemson University where she studied communications and studio arts.
